A luxury interior designed for the Mana Hotel spa in Barcelona, where the stretch ceiling becomes a key element that unifies the architecture of the thermal space with a restrained and contemporary aesthetic.
A Premium quality matte ceiling film, manufactured in Germany by TEQTUM, was selected for the project. The continuous, seamless surface of the stretch ceiling creates an atmosphere of calm and spaciousness above the indoor pool and hydrotherapy area, perfectly complementing the warm wood panelling and gold-lacquered columns that define the character of the space.
For lighting, matte black rail spotlights were mounted on the stretch ceiling. The fixtures direct light precisely onto the water surface and relaxation areas, avoiding unwanted reflections on wet surfaces. Neutral-tone light sources with IP44 protection class, suitable for high-humidity environments, were used together with IP67 power supplies featuring dimming functionality.
The geometry of the stretch ceiling follows the irregular perimeter of the hall, adapting to the changes in height between the pool area and the entrance zones, with interior corners cleanly resolved using high-quality shadow profiles. The junctions between the stretch ceiling and the perimeter gold-toned cladding were executed with millimetre precision, maintaining the visual clarity characteristic of high-end interiors.
All works were carried out in accordance with the lighting and HVAC project developed by the interior designer, with particular attention to the technical requirements of a high-humidity, high-temperature environment. The total ceiling area installed is 155 m².
