Stretch Ceilings in a Luxury Spa & Pool Complex

One of the most ambitious and visually striking projects in our portfolio — stretch ceiling installation across a premium spa and swimming pool complex in Vilnius. The space combines a large indoor pool, a circular jacuzzi zone, and separate wet rooms, all united by a cohesive ceiling and lighting concept. The total ceiling area across all zones exceeds 350 m².

Design Challenges

The greatest challenge of this project was the complex geometry of the space. The main pool hall features free-form, wave-shaped stretch ceilings that follow the curved architecture of the room — wrapping around cylindrical wooden columns, flowing above panoramic windows, and seamlessly transitioning between zones. Achieving smooth, wrinkle-free tension across such irregular shapes required precision engineering and careful on-site templating.

Ceiling & Lighting Solutions

The wet environment of a spa complex demands materials and components rated for high humidity. All ceiling films used carry the appropriate moisture-resistance certification, and all lighting components were selected with a minimum IP44 rating for the main zones and IP67 for areas of direct water exposure. The lighting design combines several systems:

• Curved LED line lighting — suspended free-form luminous lines following the organic shape of the ceiling in the jacuzzi and pool zones
• Recessed rectangular LED fixtures — integrated flush into the ceiling surface in the pool and utility rooms
• Perimeter LED backlighting — installed at the ceiling-to-wall junction, creating a soft, floating effect along the walls
• Recessed ventilation grilles — integrated seamlessly into the ceiling surface without disrupting the visual cleanliness of the design

Materials & Safety

The matte stretch ceiling film was selected to complement the natural materials throughout the interior — stone, wood, and mosaic tile. Access hatches were integrated into the ceiling in technical zones to allow maintenance of ventilation and pool systems. The entire installation was carried out in close coordination with the general contractor and the interior design team to ensure every ceiling element aligned precisely with the architectural vision.
