Fabric illuminated ceilings in store, Barcelona

Little-known, but simply fabulous-looking textile ceilings are a wonderful addition to shops, beauty salons and, of course, residential buildings. Fabric ceilings do not leave indifferent even the biggest skeptics of stretch ceilings.

Brilliance ceiling team installed a truly exceptional fabric ceiling solution, the details of which we want to share with our clients. One of the biggest challenges was the height of the existing ceiling, because the final ceiling version had to descend more than 100 cm., so our engineers designed the ceiling fastenings on cables and to the existing wall. Also, according to the interior design of the store, the fabric ceiling structure had to cover only 30% of the total area.

A black BRIL80 niche profile was used to finish the ceiling, which provided an excellent color contrast. The length of the ceiling structure is as much as 40 meters, so we had to ensure the integrity of the structure along the entire length. On the other side of the ceiling, next to the display window, a niche of as much as 40 cm. high was formed, which was also tensioned using fabric and a “Z”-shaped corner profile to form a steep break in the horizon and vertical plane.

Lighting in the fabric ceiling

Three types of lighting were used to illuminate the store, we chose the same lighting temperature – 4000K

• Recessed niche LED profiles BRIL50, white. These truly unique and exceptionally illuminated LED profiles create a cozy and pleasant light for the eyes. The profiles are arched and shine from the inside to the inner side of the profile, so when looking at them – we do not see the light source, the light does not dazzle and looks luxuriously perfect.
• Magnetic BRIL TRACK lighting, black. Narrow profile with subtle and minimalistic luminaires in various shapes. Directional luminaires allow you to direct the lighting at the desired angle, and a magnetic type luminaire suspended on a cable gives the space a sense of style
• Recessed for TRACK spotlights, black.
• Custom-made LED lamps mounted on the ceiling and walls made of fabric, various sizes. Lamps illuminates the area evenly, does not create shadows and does not dazzle.

We also had to solve the problem of bypassing the columns. The columns in the store were octagonal and we could not attach to them. Therefore, a Slott 40 niche profile, black in color, was used, which had to be connected to the direct connecting profile. This node was almost the most complex in the implementation of this project.

The fabric ceiling gives the interior design of the store a modernity, sophistication and truly exclusiveness. BRIL DS fabric made in Germany was used, the color was selected according to RAL, the material has a CE certificate and a Bs1-d0 fire resistance class.
